The Dreaded Love Triangle Appears.. Is Totally Unnecessary
On August 11th, Park Bo Gum's agency announced that he will star in 'Nodame Cantabile' as Na Yoon Hoo, who is a Korean - American cellist from Juilliard School. He will be Cha Yoo Jin(Joo Won)'s rival and also will involve in a love triangle including Seol Nae Il(Shim Eun Kyung).

Totally unnecessary. In the original, Kuroki is a very sweet oboe player who isn’t really a rival for Nodame’s affections – she’s got such a one-track mind re Chiaki and Kuroki understood this early on. He’s not even a rival in musical terms – Kuroki plays the oboe, while Chiaki plays the piano, violin and conducts. There’s no clash musically, and they work very well together in the orchestra.

The trio are also awesome friends. I wish kdramas understood that not every relationship has to turn into a love triangle or something. Sigh.
Park Bo Gum in Gaksital
The actor recently played the young Lee Seo-jin character in Wonderful Season, though he did also briefly act alongside Joo-won inGaksital as the kid brother who joined the rebellion. Aw, and now he’s gonna try to steal Gaksital’s girl? Good luck with that, kiddo. Yeah, Gaksital will never forgive you.

As a Joowon fan, I am more excited about SEK’s casting than his own as Chiaki. I can just about maybe-kinda-sorta see the quirky SEK being Nodame, whereas Joowon is more of a powerhouse of emotions than a stony-faced, cold-hearted conductor wannabe with a subtle vulnerability to Nodame. I believe he will do great job to produce of Chiaki potrayal. If he does manage to pull off Chiaki senpai, then he would officially be my favourite actor in dramas.

한국판 '노다메 칸타빌레'가 '내일도 칸타빌레'로 제목을 확정했다.
제작사인 그룹에이트는 18일 "한국판 ‘노다메 칸타빌레’의 제목을 ‘내일도 칸타빌레’로 확정하고, 여주인공 노다메 역 의 배역이름도 설내일(심은경)로 정했다"고 공식 발표했다.
‘내일도 칸타빌레’는 클래식에 대한 꿈을 키워가며 열정을 불태우는 열혈청춘들의 사랑과 빛나는 성장스토리를 담아낸다. 심은경이 연기하는 설내일은 주원(차유진)과 만남을 통해 새롭게 자신의 음악세계에 눈뜨는 엉뚱한 4차원녀의 캐릭터다.

Korean Version of “Nodame Cantabile” Changes Name to “Tomorrow Cantabile”
The Korean remake of Japanese hit series “Nodame Cantabile” has changed its name to “Tomorrow Cantabile.”
The production company officially announced on August 18 that the new title has been finalized. In addition, the name of main character Nodame has been changed to Seol Nae Il (Shim Eun Kyung). The title of the drama derives from the female lead’s name, as “Nae Il” means “tomorrow” in Korean.
As Seol Nae Il discovers her love for music through meeting the male lead Cha Yoo Jin (Joo Won), the symbolic new name represents her quirky personality and the beginning of a new chapter in her life.

Joo Won Is More of An Actor than A Star With Certain Image
Hfft.... My Imagination is not big enough for Joo Won...
But once you get to see him
up close(as some of his former co-stars will attest)or he comes on screen he
will draw you in with his acting. Actually, you won't see him acting, you won't
see Joo Won either. You will see the character he is playing because he always
bring the character to life.
When I first saw him in Baker King, I really couldn't stand Ma Jun, the
antagonist he played. He made Tak Gu's life so miserable, yet because Joo Won
was superb in bringing out Ma Jun's vulnerabilities and twisted but sad man
that he was, it was difficult to hate Ma Jun to the core. In the end, he won me
over. To this day, there are viewers who dislike Joo Won because of the
character Ma Jun but I would say for a new actor who started out by playing a
role of an antagonist, watched by 50% of Korean viewers no less, he has done
very well indeed.
When Joo Won was acting in Bridal Mask or Gaksital, viewers couldn't wrap their
heads over how in 2D1N he was in reality a soft spoken young man full of aegyo
and afraid to swat even a fly, could be so darn convincing as Lee Kangto, the
vigilante who was a badass Japanese lackey policeman in the day and a heroic
masked fighter in the night. And just when they start having an image of him as
a suave hero, the image got shattered when Joo Won played an autistic savant in
Good Doctor.
Joo Won is never the same in his roles. So it might be difficult to imagine how
he can play Chiaki (Cantabile Romance). As his fan, I am confident he can pull this off just as he
has been doing in his roles so far.
